In one line
Squatea is an iPhone app that locks TikTok, Instagram or any apps you choose, and opens them only after you do squats in front of the camera: every rep buys you minutes of scrolling.
How it works
- You pick the apps to lock. The lock uses Apple's Screen Time tools, so closing Squatea doesn't get you around it.
- When you want in, you prop the phone up and squat in front of the front camera. The app counts each rep.
- You earn minutes. When they run out, the apps lock again on their own.
- You set the rate: how many squats buy 10 minutes.
Privacy
Rep counting happens on the phone. Camera video is processed on the device and never leaves it, and Squatea can't see which apps you have or what you do in them: Apple only hands it opaque identifiers. Full details in the privacy policy.
